Affordable Drug Rehab with a Family Treatment Program

I was so surprised that I actually found an affordable drug rehab program a couple of months ago that I didn’t even think to ask what sorts of things this place offered its patients. I was just happy to be able to afford rehab without borrowing money that it didn’t occur to me to be judicious about my program choice. Thankfully, I stumbled upon one of the best rehabs in California, and with an unbeatable price-tag.

This affordable drug rehab program not only had all the things you hear about normal rehabs like 12-step stuff along with group and individual therapy, but it also had hippy-dippy alternative therapies and a family treatment program and medical detox and I could go on and on. I’m going to relate a little about my experience with this affordable drug rehab and its family treatment program, strictly because it helped me out so much with my family issues.

A family treatment program that fixed what I couldn’t
Even though I had the best intentions as far as my family went, I seemed to always mess things up when I was drinking and using drugs. I’m sure this is how lots of addicts are. This was obviously something I wanted to fix once I got sober in this affordable drug rehab program. The family treatment program counselors really helped me see my part in the whole equation, in order to get my head right before meeting with my different family members who dropped in to visit from time to time—this drug rehab program allows family visitors basically whenever you want, sweet!

My family was called in all at once and along with the family treatment program counselors we went over some of the past and worked on how to fix things for the future. The counselors kept anyone’s boundaries from getting crossed or feelings from getting hurt. Because of the family treatment program at this affordable drug rehab program, I was able to leave rehab with my family intact and happy again. This family cohesiveness proved to be very important for my early sobriety.

Affordable Drug Rehab Program Options

In this post, we're going to break down for you some different affordable drug rehab programs that are typical offerings at rehabilitation centers worth their salt in today’s drug treatment community.

A rehabilitation center for your strapped wallet
Too many people we know have foregone or delayed entering a drug rehab program because they couldn’t find an affordable drug rehab that was worth a damn. These people are forced to enter the wringer of addiction once more, possibly never to return. We started our drug rehab blog in order to get information out there about good Southern California rehabilitation centers, hopefully so that someone reaching out for a drug rehab program will always find an appropriate one.

Part of what deters people from entering a rehabilitation center is the cost, even though you can’t put a price on a human life. But we understand the dilemma. After all, we’re all recovering alcoholics and addicts, too, so we know how hard it is to make that final decision to enter a drug rehab program. However, we also know that with an affordable drug rehab, the decision to enter a rehabilitation center becomes a little easier when you don’t have to worry about borrowing money to enter it.

DrugRehabBlog.net have provided here some links to an affordable drug rehab program in Southern California that also accepts payment from some private or group health insurance plans. Or, if you wish, you can set up a payment plan with the rehabilitation center to defray the drug rehab program costs over a longer time period. In addition, this affordable drug rehab also offers inpatient and outpatient drug rehab programs that can meet around your work schedule or your income. For those of any income level, the time for entering a rehabilitation center is now.

FAQ Series: Is transitional sober living necessary?

I was recently asked by someone about to finish a drug rehab program in a rehabilitation center whether I thought transitional sober living was necessary for them to stay sober. The short answer to that is that nothing is “necessary” to stay clean and sober except a daily decision to remain that way. However transitional sober living definitely helps people who are newly sober stay that way after they leave a rehabilitation center.

Transitional sober living eases you back into life after a drug rehab program
Many people “go back out”—that is to say, they get drunk or high—soon after finishing a drug rehab program and leaving the rehabilitation center. This is because drug and alcohol abuse is the only coping mechanism they have made to handle life’s issues. If they don’t do a good job of learning new coping mechanisms while in a rehabilitation center, these recovering addicts don’t have much hope of sticking with their treatment plan.

The purpose of a transitional sober living home is to reintegrate you into society at your own pace. While I’ve already given the example of the person who “can’t handle life” once he gets out of a drug rehab program, I’ll now give you the more common example: someone who tries to take on way too much for their own good. When we’re using drugs and alcohol, most of our energy is being sapped by our addiction. However, once someone gets clean and sober at a rehabilitation center, they usually notice a tremendous surge in their energy levels. They may find they’ve forgotten about goals they’ve had for years, or they may decide they like a whole new set of hobbies.

Transitional sober living helps center these people and keep their focus on recovery during these first few months after rehab. Too many recovering addicts leave a rehabilitation center and get two jobs and a girlfriend and start school and start volunteering and so on. Transitional sober living gives you the opportunity to try your hand at all of life’s new challenges, while also giving you a safe space to come home to, where you and your fellows all have common goals.

Drug Education as a Drug Rehab Program

Drug education is an effective way of curbing addictions especially among the youth. When done properly, this activity should instill the ill-effects of drugs and alcohol as well as the coping mechanisms when facing temptations to use and abuse drugs and alcohol. Drug education is not exclusive to the kids and teenagers alone; it is also recommended even among older individuals.

Taking time to talk to your children will do more than you can ever imagine. While parents might not know it yet, some kids are already slowly losing their lives tod drugs and alcohol. For parents, picking up a time and a place to discuss things over will greatly help curb addictions younger family members.

Teach your children the right attitude towards medicines. Remind them that medicines are strong substances that should only be used under a physician’s supervision. These children must also be taught on how to contact emergency services in case of accidents.

Relate the ill-effects of illicit drugs on the human body. Knowing the risks of drug use and misuse will help family members and friends to avoid risky situations and will help reduce the possibility of yet another drug addiction case.

Drug addiction need not happen in households. Act now before it is too late.
